Vilnius homebuyers increasingly favour premium properties in central locations, with sales in this segment rising sharply.
In the first half of 2019, developers sold 680 new Vilnius apartments priced above €2,000 per square metre. This was 2.5 times the previous year’s figure, bringing the premium segment to 24% of sales.
Demand also rose in other price brackets. Sales reached 837 homes at €1,700–2,000 per square metre, 667 at €1,400–1,700 and 688 below €1,400. Overall new-apartment transactions increased by 70%.
HANNER linked the shift to rising incomes, central locations and demand for finished interiors. Its Renesanso and Pilies Apartamentai developments addressed this market; the latter included designer-furnished homes, enhanced acoustic insulation and remotely controlled heating.
